Technical
Infrastructure
Software
Park's Technical Infrastructure is available to help software
companies in Thailand meet all challenges by providing high-performance
hardware and software necessary for production of high-standard
software products. The service includes technical assistance
for software developers as well as other necessary IT services
to facilitate production of software. Some of the facilities
are:
- Mobile E-Services Bazaar (MEB)
Hewlett-Packard has chosen to collaborate with Software Park
Thailand in co-locating HP’s fifth Mobile B-Services
Bazaar (MEB) in the world. MEB is now ready to serve Wireless
Application developers and has gained initial support from
more than 40 business partners including venture capital investors,
technology suppliers and application developers. MEB’s
facilities offer developers knowledge, tools and techniques
as well as market access and support.
- e-Infrastructure Center
Software Park Thailand has been designated by IBM Thailand
to host IBM’s e-Infrastructure Center. The center accommodates
many IBM platforms and application development tools which
are made available for interested software developers to explore
and develop software for e-business activities.
- Center of Excellence for Computer
Security (CECoS)
This center is a showcase of technologies for computer and
network security which is fundamental to the new economy.
Members of CECoS represent a special interest group on computer
security which spans the whole spectrum of businesses as well
as IT specialists in security areas.
- mLAB
mLAB was established through collaboration between Software
Park Thailand, NOKIA and Hewlett-Packard (Thailand). mLAB’s
role is three fold: to stimulate the development of mobile
internet applications software in Thailand, to transfer technology
to Thai developers named mSchool, to act as a software development
laboratory named mLAB, where developers can physically develop,
test and demonstrate software applications in the real environment.
All developers who join mLAB gain membership of the NOKIA
WAR community, a free space on WAR hosting and receive the
community’s newsletter.
- Database Competency Center
Database Competency Center (a member of PITSTOP):The
center is established from four leading IT organizations;
Oracle Corp. Thailand, HP (Thailand), Software Park Thailand,
and A-HOST, an Oracle Value Added Distributor. The objectives
are to create Thai ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) community
and develop expert Enterprise Database consultants. Partners
can develop proof of concept facility by accessing to actual
system in the server room with multiple or across platforms.
The center will support ISVs to maturity in the local market
place initially and assisting those ISV to move to the global
market place in the future.
